EL JACO

Role: Designer (Visual Identity, Collateral)
Client: El Jaco
Scope: Label, Packaging, Collateral

I created a premium identity for El Jaco, anchored by a custom engraved illustration of the Maroon Bells — a symbol tied to the family’s heritage. Designed to feel refined and timeless, the label became the centerpiece of the brand, with packaging and supporting collateral extending the story into a full experience.

THE WORK

The engraved illustration gave the label a crafted, authentic quality, paired with a restrained wordmark and minimal typography to balance elegance with subtlety. To help visualize how the brand could live beyond the bottle, I extended the design into tasting and event materials — invitations, coasters, notebooks, and packaging — creating a cohesive, premium system.

MY ROLE

I led the creation of the identity system and collateral, partnering closely with Richard to ensure each element reflected his design philosophy. I developed the lockups, collection marks, and supporting materials, and extended the system across print, digital, and physical applications. My role was both creative and practical: building a design language that could carry across collections, scale internationally, and endure over time.

OUTCOME

The result was a clean, story-driven identity that connected El Jaco’s wine to its roots through the engraved mountains. The system elevated the label’s presence while reinforcing exclusivity and craftsmanship across bottle, packaging, and collateral.
